Graphic Designer:


Ste. Marie is seeking a mid-level graphic designer on a freelance basis to collaborate with our growing team in Vancouver. As we are at a pivotal time in our company’s growth, we are looking to expand our talent pool with those that are keen to drive design concepts from inception to completion.

You will work with our team on a range of projects from initial research, concept, design and implementation. Ideally you are an experienced freelance graphic designer that can multi-task and have experience project managing your own projects.

As a graphic designer at Ste. Marie you’ll get the opportunity to work on logos, layout, creation of maps, use your curatorial eye to develop vision documents that exceptionally communicate brand narratives and inspire everyone that is on-boarded to the project. Experience creating brand assets for the hospitality and real estate development industries are a must. If you have skills in creating brand copy and clever tag-lines that’s a big plus. Like us, you have a keen eye for art and design, are driven by quality, have set a high bar and have a passion for your work.

What we are looking for:

-a conceptual and strategic thinker
-have an exceptional curatorial eye for art, design, fashion and culture, experience with art direction and photography a plus
-an outstanding portfolio of professional design experience which must include examples of visual story telling, brand development, logos and layouts
-a minimum of 5 years professional experience
-excellent 2D software skills: Adobe Creative Suite
-spatial design skills, 3D software such as Sketchup and rendering capabilities a plus
-proactive attitude, working quickly under pressure
-conscientious, organized and meticulous attention to detail
-strong communication skills, in written English as well as spoken English, having skills in brand copy and tag-lines are a strong asset

Market Researcher and Content Strategist:


Our Creative Concept Division is looking for a market researcher and content strategist with a minimum of 4 years relevant experience in real estate development, urban planning and/or architectural office sectors.

We are looking for an experienced professional that has stellar research capabilities, an understanding of real estate development, cultural and community building, and urban development to help give insight to drive concepts.

Our expertise in the Creative Concept Division includes market positioning, strategy, concept and brand development, identity, programming, experiential touch points and of course, interiors. Skills required for this role include the ability to do in-depth market analysis, historical research, development trends research, understand guest archetypes’ wants and needs, conduct SWOT analyses and have the ability to see opportunities in the competitive landscape to well position new ideas in the market. This person not only needs pragmatic understanding of business and operations but is motivated in shaping our cultural landscape in terms of how we live, gather and socialize.

The ideal candidate must be a conceptual and strategic thinker with great communication abilities both written and verbal. Ability and experience in copywriting is a must. The ideal candidate has their fingers on the pulse when it comes to culture, city building and hospitality.

This is a part time contract position to start with the intention of growing to full time.

You will…

-Research international analogues, study competitors, market trends, and industry data to provide a thorough analysis to identify the market landscape and trends in urban planning, real estate development, retail and food and beverage
-Write copy including tag-lines and positioning statements with control to adapt tone to multiple concepts and varying industries
-Participate in producing client presentations and high quality visioning documents in terms of copy in collaboration with graphic designers and the Concept and Strategy lead
-Coordinate with internal and external team members to obtain information required to develop vision documents
-Serve as an office-wide research resource to the Strategy and Interior Design team
-Work with Concept and Strategy lead for project specific oversight, coordination and knowledge
-Exhibit enthusiasm, and poise while working collaboratively and thinking strategically
-Assist in office admin such as scheduling client meetings, coordinating presentation and print materials, coordination of outreach and communications with external consultants
-Build and maintain a network of influencers/collaborators and help the Strategy department’s influence to grow and evolve


-Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Urban Planning or a related field
-Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience
-Experience in marketing (basic to intermediate)
-Proficiency in G-suite, Googlesheets/Docs or Microsoft Excel/Word, Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
-Skilled in gathering large amounts of data and presenting it in a user-friendly format while organizing the data to be easily accessible
-Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule and be detail and deadline oriented while juggling multiple tasks
-Outstanding writing, editing, and proofreading skills for both online and print, proven competency in copywriting
-Has experience self-managing project assignments from start to finish and time tracking with minimal oversight
-Ability to be agile and is able to respond to changing deadlines quickly
-Keeps on top of all the latest trends across various fields (art & design, advertising, marketing, retail, urban planning, culture, food and beverage, etc.).
